Port Angeles

The city of Port Angeles is located just 2 hours west of Seattle Washington, on the Olympic Peninnsula. The area is accessible by car, ferry, and plane, Port Angeles International Airport.

Port Angeles is known as the “Center of It All”, referring to the million-acre Olympic National Park on one side and the Strait of Juan De Fuca on the other – mountains to water! The Olympic National Park consists of hiking, biking, kayaking, camping activities throughout the year. The most commonly visited areas include; Hurricane Ridge, Sol Duc Hot Springs, Marymere Waterfalls at Lake Crescent, Hoh Rain Forest and wind blown beaches. Port Angeles houses Peninsula College as well as Washington University satellite courses. There are many Native American museums and historical museums throughout the area. Local theater, symphony, and art galleries can be found in both Sequim and Port Angeles. The January 4, 2009, Sunday Oregonian, featured Port Angeles, Washington on the front page of the Travel section. The area has been featured in many magazines and travel papers as a great place to live and visit. Check out Port Angeles Chamber of Commerce for special events.

Port Angeles is also known as the Gateway to Victoria, as the Blackball Car Ferry and Victoria Express walk-on ferry make multiple trips a day to the Port of Victoria, BC. The Port Angeles harbor is a deep water harbor and throughout the year large ships will dock for inspection and repairs.
